So what would Jesus do? You here that phrase often and there are many causes that claim Jesus would do this, or not do that, but always in line with the cause they are promoting. It always helps a cause if Jesus is on your side. This Easter weekend we need to consider, as we're sitting down to our ham and turkey dinner, how Terri Shiavo is starving to death as we take each bite. Not because she can't eat, but because her "husband" has convinced a court that she does not deserve to be fed. Not to mention that he is in a relationship with another woman with which he has fathered 2 children. I'm sure that has nothing to do with it.

I just don't get what the dilemma is here. There is absolutely no written evidence that this would be her wish to die. Why is it so easy for so many to stand by and watch this woman die? I am surprised that no one has stormed the hospice and taken Terri to have the feeding tube re-inserted. I do know what Jesus would do. Jesus would peacefully walk into the clinic, gather Terri in his arms, walk out the front door of that clinic to a silent crowd of onlookers, lay her down and quench her thirst. He would feed her, he would love her, he would help her. That is what Jesus would do.

If Jeb Bush or the president, were to calmly walk into that hospice and carry Terri out to safety, they would be doing exactly what Jesus would do. They would be hailed and heckled, but they and we, would know in our hearts; that is what Jesus would do. Let us pray this Easter weekend before we take a bite of our meal, that Jesus gives someone the strength to do what he would do before it's too late. God bless Terri Shiavo and her family.

Common sense?

Does anyone really think starving to death is painless and euphoric?

Did you know?

Terri Shiavo has been denied any attempt at rehabilitation by her husband? There are nurses that have said she has eaten on her own under their care but the courts have ignored this information?

Fact, fiction, or funny

There is nothing funny about starving to death.
